Rules for Attendance

Salutations,

Due to large, empty spots on our roster due to attendance problems by several crewmembers, I have been authorized to make you all aware as to Avenger's new attendance policy.

MIA - You will be listed as MIA after 1 month of not showing up to the sim, with no notice to either Meushell, Nouri, or myself. One month listed as MIA will result in your position not being guaranteed upon your return and/or removal from the Avenger roster or mailstring. If there may be issues regarding your attendance, please let us know. A simple e-mail will keep you in good standing. Note: If you are unable to send an e-mail before the sim, you can still be excused from the sim by sending one afterward.

LOA - In the event that you are in need to remain on extended leave of absences for 3 months, your position will be held for you upon return. This is with notice only. You must leave an e-mail to Meushell, Nouri, or myself in order to have your position held. Excess of 3 months on LOA may not hold your position, as we cannot hold a position on the roster indefinitely. You will be guaranteed to remain in the same department, but your position in that department may change.

Senior Staff - With extended MIAs, your place on the Chain of Command cannot be guaranteed. As Senior Officers, you are expected to attend regularly and if that is not possible, leave notice that you will not be attending. We are finding it hard to justify not being able to advance crew members who attend regularly because positions are being held by those who do not. In order to make Avenger fun for everyone, Senior Staff should attend regularly.

Concerning new Cadets/Ensigns, new attendees are required to show up for every sim during their first 4 weeks, barring unforeseen circumstances and/or excused absences. Failure to attend without notice will result in disciplinary action up to or including removal from the Avenger roster and mailstring.

Of course, excused absences, dire emergencies, and the like will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

If there are any questions, please feel free to contact Meushell. :)

Sincerely yours,

Lieutenant Andrew Seal
Chief Engineering Officer
USS Avenger - A
