Alien Species Andorian
Appearance Traits: Human-like with blue skin, white hair, and two long antennas. Tall and slender.
Personality: Warrior-like and can get violent.
Planet: Andor, part of the Federation
Special Traits: Antennas give them better hearing (compared to humans), and the ability to sense heat.
Love/Marriage: Marriage is in group of four.
History: Did not get along with Vulcans in the 21st and 22nd centuries.
Bajoran
Appearance Traits: Appears human but has wrinkles on bridge of their nose.
Personality: Deeply religious, but some can also be feisty, which may be a result of the Cardassian Occupation
Planet: Bajor, allies to the Federation, has five moons.
Special Traits: Gestation period is five months.
Love/Marriage: Usually mate for life. A special bracelet is given to propose.
History: They had a strong culture in architecture, art, and
philosophy for hundreds of thousands of years. They traveled space
before developing warp drive. They survived the Cardassian Occupation
which lasted 2328-2369. During this many Bajorans were driven from
their homeworld, made slaves, tortured, and/or killed.
Extra: Believe the Prophets are their gods. (The aliens believed
to be their gods live in the wormhole near their planet.) Vedeks are
their spiritual leaders, and lead by a Kai. Their family name comes
first. (i.e. rather than John Doe, a Bajoran would call himself Doe
John). A Bajoran has and wears an earing that represents his/her family.
Benzite
Appearance Traits: Humanoid. The nose is a slit that is wider
than the mouth, and has four short barbel-like extensions. No facial
hair. Blue-gray skin. Large, short, pointed eats. Members of the same
geo-structure look nearly identical.
Personality: Eager to please authority.
Planet: Benzar, allies to the Federation
Special Traits: Needs a special breathing devise for oxygen atmospheres
Betazoid
Appearance Traits: Looks human except for solid dark pupils.
Personality: Tend to be honest.
Planet: Betazoid, part of the Federation
Special Traits: Telephathic and empathic ablities, but cannot read Ferengi, Doptherian or Breen. Gestation period is ten months.
Love/Marriage: Often children are promised to each other by
their parents which is a ritual called genetic bonding. They are not
bound by this. Betazoids can fall in love with more than one person.
Bolian
Appearance Traits: Skin tone is usually medium blue, but can
vary in tones of blue. Males are bald, but some females have hair. A
narrow ridgeline runs from the spine over the skull and down the face
and neck. Earlobes are longer than a human's.
Personality: Dedicated to their duty, conformist.
Planet: Bolarus IX, part of the Federation.
Special Traits: Have a cartilaginous lining on their tongues.
Love/Marriage: A marriage comprises three partners (wife, co-husband, co-husband).
Borg
Appearance Traits: Part organic and part inorganic.
Origin: Delta Quadrant, territory is hundreds, perhaps thousands, of worlds and spreads through the Delta and Beta quadrants
Special Traits: They work with one mind with a queen in control
of goals and function. If a queen is killed her conscious is moved to
another female.
History: Species 1 (species of Borg origin) used to be completely organic.
Extra: Responsible for the "murder" of people from hundreds of
planets. Their goal is perfection by assimulating other species and
technologies.
Note: A Borg cannot be part of Starfleet.
Cardassian
Appearance Traits: Humanoid. Tall, and has a long-neck which
widens to the shoulders. Has several bony ridges such has: starting
under the eyes, traveling around, up the forehead, and through the
hair; along the shoulder, neck, and chin; from nose to forehead. Skin
varies from light green, light, brown, or light purple. Hair is usually
very dark or black.
Personality: Predatory in large numbers, but more cautious
alone. They tend to try to be dominant, and are often arogent and
violent. Usually very devoted to their family.
Planet: Cardassia, not Federation
Special Traits: Photographic memory (from strong mental training). They can also sometimes deflect a Vulcan mind-meld.
Love/Marriage: Suppose to stay true to one's spouse. An affair can wreck a career.
History:Seem to have evolved from reptilian-like creatures.
Occupied Bajor from 2328 to 2369. After the Federation-Cardassian
Treaty, which created the Demilitarized Zone, they gained a new enemy
called the Maquis, who were fighting Cardassians in the DMZ. During the
Dominion War they went against Starfleet to fight with the Dominion,
but in the end switched sides with helped a great deal in giving
Starfleet victory. Their planet was put in ruins at the end of the war.
Extra: Strongly believe in education, which includes mental
training. Will torture prisoners for information or other reasons.
Prefers the atmosphere to be hot and humid.
Changeling
True Form: A liquid oatmeal-like substance.
Personality: Those part of the Great Link tend to dislike humanoids.
Origin: Gamma Quadrant
Special Traits: With practice can take any living or not living
form, including people, objects, fire, and fog. Lifespan is at least of
300 years, and probably much more. No sense of smell.
Love/Marriage: Cannot have children with humanoids. They can
merge with each other to share thoughts, emotions, and sometimes alter
one another (for instance healing).
History: Enjoyed the exploration of space until "solids"
(humanoids) started hunting them down, and so they settled down on
their own planet. They once sent out 100 "infants" to satisfy their
quest to explore, and genetically implanted each one with the desire to
return home.
Extra: Also known as the Founders or Shapeshifters. They are the
highest ranked in the Dominion, and considered to be gods by the Vorta
and JemHardar. Changelings do not harm other Changelings.
Deltan
Appearance Traits: Human appearance except for baldness.
Planet: Delta IV
Special Traits: Highly developed sexuality. Some telepathic abilities.
Love/Marriage: Deltans in Starfleet must take an Oath of Celibacy, so that they do not take advantage of less sexually advanced species
El-Aurian
Appearance Traits: They look human.
Personality: Known as the "listeners."
Planet: Unknown, but it was destroyed by the Borg several hundred years ago.
Special Traits: Have an awareness that supersedes the normal flow of time and space. Have a lifespan of at least 500 years.
Ferengi
Appearance Traits: Humanoid, short, and very large ears. Female ears are smaller. They have large ridged noses and sharp teeth.
Personality: Greedy, and loves to make money. Often look down on females.
Planet: Ferenginar, very rainy
Special Traits: Very good business men, will take advantage of
others whenever possible. Excellant hearing, but can be pained by
soundwaves too high for humans to hear. Cannot be telephathically read
by Betazoids. Physically weaker than humans
Love/Marriage: View females are property.
History: Until recently, females are not allowed to leave the planet, wears clothes in public, or make money
Extra: Follow the The Ferengi Rules of Acquisition. They are lead by a ruler called the Grand Nagus.
Gallamite
Appearance Traits: Humanoid with transparent skull which reveals the brain, which is twice the size of humans.
Special Traits: Very intelligent
Grazerite
Appearance Traits: Brownish skin.
Personality: Hate violence and confrontation.
Planet: Probably part of the Federation.
Special Traits: Require very little sleep
History: Evolved from herbivorous herd
Haliian
Appearance Traits: Slight ridge above eyebrows.
Personality: Artistic, graceful.
Planet: Haliia
Special Traits: Partially telepathic. They increase the ability through physical contact with large glowing crystals called Canars
Human (Terran)
Appearance Traits: Looks human, skin tones can vary to very light to very dark. Hair can be blonde, brown, red, or black.
Personality: Usually curious or interested about the universe and wanting to help others. Can also be very violent.
Planet: Earth
Love/Marriage: Usually mate for life
History: Having some violence in their history, after first
contact with a new species (Vulcans) humans united, and were able to
rid of violence, war, and hunger.
Extra: Seem to have more variety in race, culture, religion, etc. then any other species.
Klingon
Appearance Traits: Humanoid. Tall. Strong, distinctive forehead ridges. Hairline is farther back than a human's. Hair is usually worn long.
Personality: Warriors, hostile, and would rather fight to the death than be captured.
Planet: Q'onoS (allies with the Federation, but can be enemies as well)
Special Traits: Very strong with a high pain threshold. Strong
sense of smell. Skilled hunters, who eat their meat raw with a lot of
seasoning. Cannot cry. Bodies have redundancies for almost all vital
bodily functions
Love/Marriage: Usually mate for life
History: It is believed that empire was formed by Kahless.
Extra: Have a strong Code of Honor, where an indivuals acts can
effect his entire family. Believe in afterlife, and sto-vo-kor is their
version of heaven. They don't like Romulans or Ferengis (or Tribbles),
and the feelings seem mutual.
Orion
Appearance Traits: Humanoid, green skin. Males are much larger
Origin: Orion system
Love/Marriage: At least in the 22nd century Orion males could sell their wives into slavery.
Extra: Known to deal in the black market, and have even sold their females as slaves.
Pakled
Appearance Traits: Humanoid and a bit round in appearance. Bushy upswept brows. Heavily bagged eyes.
Personality: Lethargic, and are scavengers and traders. Can be deceptive.
Special Traits: Slow-witted
Romulans
Appearance Traits: Forehead ridges, pointed ears. Skin tones range yellow tinged to a dark brown.
Personality: Very moral, which a strong sense of right and wrong. Agressive.
Planet: Romulus and Remus
Special Traits: Have a higher metabolism than humans
History: Left Vulcan over a thousand years ago, so the two share the same ancestors
Tellarite
Appearance Traits: Porcine-like snout, stout build, deep set eyes. Look pig-faced.
Personality: Easily angered. Combative. Stubborn.
Planet: Unknown, but part of the Federation
Trill

Trill Humanoids
Appearance Traits: There are at least two known races for the
humanoids. One race appears human except for a narrow band of spots
running along hairline down the neck, body, and to the feet. The other
and uncommon race appears human except for it's somewhat ridged
forehead.
Personality: Usually very responsible and reserved.
Special Traits: Known developed senses include being able to
identify someone by the sound rhythm of footsteps. Hands feel cold to
the touch. When joined they are allergic to insect bites
Extra: Only 1 in a 1,000 Trills are joined. Hosts have family names like humans, but the name is dropped when they join
Trill Symbionts
Appearance Traits: A slug-like creature that lives within the humanoid host.
Personality: As part of a joining, most of the personality and
memories from the symbiont who's personality and memories come from all
the previous hosts.
Special Traits: Lifespan is hundreds of years
Love/Marriage: Symbionts don't seek romance. (However, the host does.) Symbionts who were married with previous hosts cannot marry again
Extra: Natural environment is in a water-like substance
Vulcan
Appearance Traits: Humanoid with pointed ears and slightly green skin.
Personality: Logical, and supresses emotions.
Planet: Vulcan (part of the Federation), very hot, with gravity stronger than earth and a thinner atopsphere
Special Traits: Much stronger than humans. Very honest. Better
hearing than humans. Telepathic, and can perform a Mind Meld. Most can
do the Vulcan Neck Pinch which causes someone to lose conscious. Have a
secondary eyelid to protect eyes from intense light.
Love/Marriage: Males go through Pon Farr every 7 years, where the males must either mate, go to combat, or mediate
History:2,000 years ago their violent behavior was destroying
them. Surak led them to embrace logic and supress their emotions. A
group of Vulcans who did not want to follow Surak's teaching left
Vulcan and are now known as the Romulans.
